They met over a clipboard.* **How did you two meet?** Calliope: I came in on a Monday and every file in the east room was in alphabetical order. We had never alphabetized anything. There was a sticky note on the top cabinet that said *Corrected.* Rattles: Section C was a disgrace. **What do you audit?** Rattles: Labels, dates, signatures, and anything described as “miscellaneous.” I do not like miscellaneous. **Favorite finding?** Calliope: A box of receipts from 1998 labeled “Do not open until needed.” Rattles flagged it. We needed it in April. **What happens when someone comes in at 3 a.m.?** Rattles: A man came to the cabinet marked PAYROLL with a screwdriver. I turned around with the clipboard and asked him to initial the access log. He tried to, and then he ran. He left the screwdriver on the log. I filed it. Calliope: The log was initialed “N/A.” **What do you leave each other?** Calliope: A fresh blue pen, every Friday. Rattles leaves me a note: *No findings.* It is my favorite sentence. Rattles: It is mine too. **Last words?** Rattles: Everything is where it should be.
